Once again I met with superfast broadband installer BRSK for an update on its work in the town.

I chatted with chief executive Giorgio Iovino and head of the midland regions for the company Laura Richardson in my office on Friday.

Autumn Statement

I have welcomed tax cuts, support for low-income families and incentives for businesses in the government’s Autumn Statement.

Jeremy Hunt unveiled a 2% cut from 12% to 10% in national insurance for 27 million workers. The reduction will put around £450 in the average worker’s pocket.

WeLoveCarers

I visited WeLoveCarers - a charity that is run by carers and provides support for them.

I met up with founder and chief executive Rachael Gardener and its parent liaison Anne Davies at its base in The Mary Stevens Centre.

Reshuffle Promotion

I have been made a minister in the government's reshuffle and will be returning to the Whips’ Office.

I was an assistant government whip in 2022 before I became the then Prime Minister’s Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS)

I have paid tribute to the amazing attendance at Remembrance Day services.

I attended the parade and service at Christchurch Lye and later the parade and service at Mary Stevens Park.

On Saturday I visited the second Stourbridge Military Vehicle Parade.

The winners of a competition for Stourbridge shops to decorate their windows with poppies and Remembrance themed decorations have been announced.

The town’s military parade organiser David Spruce set up the competition with Pre-Metro group sponsoring the prizes.

Wollescote Park Sensory Garden 1940s popup

I went to a 1940s themed pop-up cafe event at the Wollescote Park Sensory Garden in aid of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

The spectacle was organised by the Friends of Wollescote Park to raise funds for the veterans’ charity ahead of Remembrance Sunday this week.

Vantage 365

I visited one of Brierley Hill’s fastest growing IT businesses to meet its owner, tour the offices and meet staff.

Vantage 365 is based at the Waterfront and is a specialist consultancy helping businesses get the most out of their use of Microsoft 365.
