The Home Secretary announced a five-point plan this week to reduce net migration into the UK.

The plan deals with legal migration following latest figures showing net migration -the difference from those entering the country to leaving it - had risen to 745,000 in 2022.

Christmas Tree Competition

I judged the charity Christmas tree competition at St Thomas' Church in Stourbridge.

The event, organised by Emma Leek, saw trees from 29 organisations, charities, churches, schools and companies take part in aid Brierley Hill Baby Bank.

I was grilled by pupils at Dudley Wood Primary School when she took part in a Q&A session during afternoon assembly.

I met with Headmaster Jon Beecham who introduced me to the students from years 3-6 for the event on Friday.

I met with top NHS England managers in parliament this week to discuss how the service is preparing for winter pressures.
