Many residents have expressed concerns over the state of the Stourbridge High Street. I have worked with local stakeholders like Dudley Council to secure enhancements to the High Street, improving the local environment for everyone
After a delay, Dudley Council have released their plans for the High Street which include:
- Lighting, planters and CCTV to improve the look and feel of the town
- New pedestrian crossing point to provide safe crossing of the ring road
- New cycle routes to improve access into the town
- Speed restrictions to support safe pedestrian and cycle movement
- Creation of flexible space for community events
I will continue to follow developments closely.
