Formal commemorations kick off in London today to mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe, known as Victory in Europe (VE) Day on May 8th.

Have a fantastic day if you are having a street party, marking the commemorations in a pub, or privately.

This is one of the last chances to personally thank this generation of heroes.

May 8th will be a poignant day.
