Sadly, the green open space at The Dell has gone to Appeal, but I, residents, and the council stand united that the land should not be built on.
Also our councillor MP and her fellow Wollaston Labour councillor support the development. Thankfully, they have no greater say on planning matters than any consultee.
The proposal remains a heartless development imposing a monolithic tin shed so close to residents’ homes. The planning committee unanimously rejected the planning application. I hope the Inspector will also be the voice of reason, recognising that this decision was made due to significant concerns over highway safety. This isn’t just about protecting green space, this is about standing up to Aldi, a faceless corporate entity, who are putting profit over the safety of residents and, importantly, children.
Thank you to the Stourbridge News and Express & Star for covering the issue.
